The Playsafe Sports Mouthguard is a custom fit, dual-laminated appliance. Far superior to an
over-the-counter “boil and bite”, and better fitting than the
vacuum-formed variety, Playsafe’s multi-layered mouthguard provides fuller coverage and fits much more snugly against the teeth. This provides greater ability to absorb shock, while allowing more comfort for the wearer.
The snug fit helps the mouthguard stay in place when it’s needed most. The snug fit is also less obstructive to breathing and speaking, encouraging more consistency in use than other mouthguards.
Longer Life
Most mouthguard manufacturers recommend replacement of their appliance every season. With proper care,
the Playsafe Sports Mouthguard can offer two full seasons of active wear.
Options and Timing
A Playsafe Sports Mouthguard takes just 3 days in the lab, and is normally fabricated in clear or solid-color material. Multi-colors and customization are also available for an additional fee, but require more lab time
due to special ordering of materials.
What to Send to the Lab
The fabrication process for a Playsafe Sports Mouthguard allows for occlusal relation to the opposing arch. To derive ultimate benefit from this product, an opposing model should be supplied to the laboratory with the order.
