2007 Clinical Implant Continuum

Course Objectives

By treating their own patients under the guidance of a periodontist and prosthodontist, participants will learn to:

  1. Establish a protocol and treatment planning sequence to consistently achieve predictable implant placement, prosthodontic restoration and life-like esthetic results.
  2. Be comfortable with the full gamut of implant dentistry from single tooth restorations to partially edentulous situations to completely edentulous patients.
  3. Incorporate implant dentistry into their practice routine with training and integration of dental assistants, dental hygienist and front office staff.
  4. Have a research-documented, evidence-based, systematic, practical approach to all phases of implant dentistry.
  5. Be proficient with techniques and technology for case photo documentation, before and after photos, patient presentation of treatment plans and internal marketing.

A unique course structure:

  • Doctors bring their own private practice patients to the continuum for treatment planning, surgical implant placement and guidance through the restorative procedures.
  • Doctors can pay for the course with patients’ treatment fees for implant surgery and restorations. Doctors are charged a significantly reduced fee for surgical, prosthodontic and laboratory procedures.
  • A board-certified periodontist and board-certified prosthodontist who both have significant implant dentistry practices will guide the clinician through all phases of implant dentistry treatment.
  • Dr. Derhalli performs all surgical procedures including hard and soft-tissue grafting, atraumatic tooth extraction, implant placement and gingival plastic surgery.
